Well, its New Year's Eve!!! I cannot believe this year. I started out the year completely miserable but here I am completely the opposite. My life completely turned around and I am so thankful for all of the wonderful things God has revealed to me in the past few months. Who knew that a little journey to Kentucky would be my right path? I took the road less traveled in all areas of my life and I have been so blessed. So here's to 2012 which I am sure is going to be better than 2011 (at least the first part). I don't really do resolutions because I mostly abandon them, but I know that this year I hope to stay true to myself and true to God. Bring it on 2012!!!

My Favorite Albums of 2011
Like every true music nerd, the year comes to a close and I think about what in my opinion were the most noteworthy albums of the year. I think about what I listened to the most and what I thought was the best of the best. So here they are...my favorite albums of 2011...
- Bon Iver- Bon Iver
- Peter Bjorn and John- Gimme Some
- Fleet Foxes- Helplessness Blues
- Death Cab for Cutie- Codes and Keys
- Sondre Lerche- Sondre Lerche
- St. Vincent- Strange Mercy
- Feist- Metals
- Devotchka- 100 Lovers
- Active Child- You Are All I See
- Milagres- Glowing Mouth
- Ski Lift- Romantic EP
- The Head and the Heart- The Head and the Heart
And now for some albums that were actually released in 2010, but I didn't start really playing until this year. So I guess they are like honorable mentions. Only not really.
- The National- High Violet
- Ben Folds/ Nick Hornby- Lonely Avenue
- Kanye West- My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
- Jonsi- Go
Happy music folks! And Happy New Year! Can't wait to hear what 2012 has in store (A new Passion Pit album, please!?)

Quiet on the Homefront
Sorry its been so quiet on the blog lately, our internet is terrible and I can't use my laptop in our house. This makes posting quite difficult. Hopefully we are getting WiFi for Christmas though, so blog posts will continue shortly. But for now here's a little video to tide you over...
Yeah, that's right Cameron. You just haven't met me yet.

There's No Place Like Home
Well folks, I'm back in the ole home. My first semester of college is over and I'm ready to enjoy some big city living again. But I promise you in a few days, I'm going to be bored out of my mind and missing my friends like crazy. But for now, I'll enjoy this time of being content at home.

What I Wore Today
Sometimes I try to take pictures and they do not turn out well. This was one of those days. But I don't care cause I'm DONE with school for the semester. So this would be the last outfit I wore for finals.
Outfit Details:
Sweater: JcPenny
Skirt: Urban Outfitters
Flats: Old Navy
Glasses: Ray bans
My skirt has pockets! They turn out to be quite handy!
Yeah, well I'm feeling quite uninspired to write any more about this look. I'm off to enjoy my Christmas break! I'm leaving school tomorrow and its off to home I go!
Study Study Study
I feel like I have neglected the blog completely because of finals week! I haven't completely abandoned the blog, but I feel like its been a while. Anyways, I thought I'd share some pictures I found of college kids studying back in the day. I love the picture above because I like to think its my friends (Ericka, Paige, Michelle, Maria, and Karsyn) in the 1950's. Its the perfect number of girls!
Ah finals! I'm actually done now praise the Lord!
This is literally Madeline and I in our room. Although we modern gals use computers...
This makes me really want to get a new ribbon for my typewriter! I have a gorgeous red royal typewriter that I got for my 16th birthday, but it needs a new ribbon. Someday...
Now that finals over I can enjoy my break, which will consist of this...knitting and listening to records. Sweet man.
All pics found here.

That Thing You Do/ What I Wore Today
I am one of those people that when there is something I like, I really like it. My family says its called obsession, but I don't know if I'd take it that far. Okay, maybe I can be obsessed with things. I don't go through phases, I go through obsessions--Harry Potter, I Dream of Jeanie, Knitting....
Anyways, my obsession/inspiration for the day is the movie That Thing You Do. I watched it last night and had forgotten how much I adored that movie. So today I thought I'd do my best to dress like Faye.
Outfit Details:
Sweater: Hand Me Down
Pants: New York and Co.
Flats: Old Navy
Glasses: Ray Bans
I feel like every single one of my pieces of clothing has a story to tell, and this sweater certainly does. My Aunt Joni gave it to me many many years ago. She used to wear it in college and now here it is living through my college days!
So now its time to discuss my obsession with this movie. I mean, who doesn't want to be Faye? She's adorable, she wears the best clothes, and she gets to kiss the sweetest guy!
We were discussing last night how funny it is that the Bass Player never has a name, he's just known as "The Bass Player."
They were always meant to be together. P.S. I hate Jimmy. Guy all the way.
Aww, those sweeties! I just adore everything about this movie. Great music, great clothes, great sets, great characters.
And in case you didn't already have the song stuck in your head....

Music Mondays!!!
Clearly I'm really excited for Music Mondays hence the three exclamation points. But seriously instead of just one song I'm going to share.... 5 songs! Yeah, that's right. I'm just into the spirit of giving! Although its more like sharing, but whatever. Enjoy some lovely obscure Christmas tunes...
Um, I'm in love with this song. Seriously its great! Everyone should give it a listen.
Now this one, people may hate me for posting. Mostly because it is electro. I know not everyone likes it but sometimes its worth while. I just enjoyed finding some quality electro christmas music.
I feel like by the end of this month there will be so many Sufjan Christmas songs I've featured in Music Mondays, but I have to admit they are the best. Plus I dig the banjo.
I just like to hear Cameron sing. And see him in a cutie pie 1950's sweater.
I love The Bird and the Bee soooo much! We actually did this arrangement of carol of the bells last year in choir and I couldn't have been more excited!
Well, that's it folks. Merry Christmas!
Finals Week Fashion
FINALS WEEK HAS ARRIVED. Honestly there is so much hype over finals, but I'm not really stressed out. I mean I definitely have things to study for and end of the year parties to go to, but I'm not freaking out like everyone else. But without further adieu...finals week fashion...
Outfit Details:
Shirt: Target
Sweater: Urban Outfitters
Jeans: New York and Co.
Shoes: Toms
I'm in love with this cardigan! It looks so 1950's to me! Plus I have a cardigan obsession!
I think this is the first time I've worn the Toms at college. Crazy right?! But I love my Toms! I had the red before anyone else did (I know, how hipster of me) but seriously. Before I got them, no one had them at school. Then the second I bought them people started walking the hallways sporting these ruby beauts. Whatever, I still love them!

Finals Week Begins!
Image Found Here.
Its finals week!!! I cannot believe how fast the semester has flown by! It seems like yesterday that I was buying books and stressing out over moving in. Time really does fly when you are having fun. My finals schedule isn't too bad, but I definitely have some things to study for and finish up. I have discovered that I have overbooked myself in the activities category! There are so many end of the year parties and get togethers that I'm having to pick and choose what I go to which is very difficult. Well, to all who are finishing up school, happy studying!

My Heart Is Happy
Sometimes I just have to say how much I adore my friends. I never dreamed that God would provide friends like these for me! I cherish every time we are together---I know I'm a cheeseball, but its true.
These are the best friends a girl could ever wish for! I love each and everyone of them immensely!
I also love that I'm not the only one who takes janky disposable camera pictures. Isn't Paige a great little photographer?!
We Got Annie!
This might be a super weird blog post, but whatever. The topic I'm bringing up today (wow that sounded so official) is nicknames. Mine for instance is Annie. Hey! You learn something new everyday! It all started in 3rd grade when my friends just put my name together and got Annie. And to them, I've been Annie ever since. I also went by Annie full time at camp which was sweet! But now I'm in college and I've realized how weird it is that no one calls me Annie any more. I mean, why would they? They don't know that I respond to that. But sometimes I miss being Annie. Being myself really.
Here's a few Annie songs to enjoy...
Side note, if you don't know the morning benders, you really should check them out. They are a sick band.
I'm a musical theatre major okay?! Give me a break!

What I Wore Today
I feel like every time I post an outfit on here I say something like, "This piece of clothing is sooo old yadayadayada..." but the truth is, I really do wear things that I have had forever. This is proof that my style has been the same for a long time. Its not that I don't go shopping, although I don't really, but some of my tried and true items are just super old. Like this jacket for example. I got it at Old Navy freshman year of high school and I still love it. I love the shape because its very 60's and reminds me a little of Jackie O.
Outfit Details:
Turban: Made by ME!!
Jacket: Old Navy
Jeans: American Eagle
Shirt: JcPenny
Flats: Old Navy
Sometimes I realize how old my clothes are and it makes me want to update my closet. The thing is though, that I like my old clothes. They've lasted me a long time. Most of the things I buy are vintage inspired, so they will never go out of style!
And to keep up with the whole 60's theme, I pulled out the Audrey Hepburn inspired ballet flats. I cannot tell you how many pairs of black ballet flats I've worn over the years. Pretty much since the 6th grade, I've been rocking the black ballet flat. I think its essential in every gal's wardrobe!

What I Wore Today
Most people wear sweatpants and pjs for finals. I...look like this. Well, today I had my first final. It was for Group Voice so we had a vocal recital, so I had to look nice. But this is one of my solid audition or performance outfits. Its not too different that I stand out, but its got enough Anna Lee flair for me to enjoy wearing it.
Outfit Details:
Dress: Target
Sweater: Anthropologie
Tights: JcPenny
Shoes: Target
I've had this sweater since freshmen year of high school and its still fabulous! Its super warm, so I often wear it when I don't want to wear a coat outside. Ah this is one of my favorite sweaters of all time!
Yeah, I'm obsessed with these shoes sooooo much. Like seriously you don't even know.
I bought them a long time ago because they reminded my of the shoes in the movie Penelope. I loved her little blue character shoes so much that when I saw these, I knew that I HAD to get them!

A Few Of My Favorite Things
Yay!! Its time for a few of my favorite things this week!!!
I had forgotten how much I love Dainty June. They are a clothing company with the cutest clothes all named for characters from musicals. This collection is named after the Sound of Music! How apt!
I'm also obsessed with Zara's kids clothes. I know you're thinking that being in college means I officially have to stop wearing kids clothes, but hey...if it fits! I just love these two pieces above. I mean, come on?! That dress would be adorable and kind of sixties with tights and ballet flats. And that coat, well, who wouldn't wear that beauty? I think it makes perfect sense.
I sent this picture to my friend Spencer on Facebook and now I'm obsessed. Squirrels are my favorite animal, obviously, so this studying squirrel is just the best! Next week is finals and this week is hell week, so this little guy does a great job in cheering up the weary!
Speaking of squirrels..........One of my favorite squirrel scenes in a movie. Plus, we've already established that if I were a disney character I'd be Bucky the squirrel.
Also, this is just too great. I mean, really. Raccoon Willie holiday cheer.
Sometimes I Wear Three Outfits
Its just been one of those days! I had my final speech today in public speaking and I've been stressing out about it for days. So today I woke up and worked on it, after I'd already spent all night working on it. Who gives a group speech to college students? That is what I would like to know! So this is what I wore when I was stressing out and feeling frazled. Although I really like this comfy outfit, plus its warm. Maybe its bad to associate this look with stress...
Outfit Details:
Sweater: Thrifted
Jeggings: New York and Co.
Moccasins: (not pictured) Forever21
This is professional business public speaking Anna Lee. Yeah, so this is what I wore to give my speech about golf balls. Oh public education...
Outfit Details:
Shirt: Anthropologie
Skirt: JcPenny
Tights: JcPenny
Shoes: Old Navy
And this is what I'm wearing now. I just wanted to be comfortable. I know, this isn't a usual look for me. But hey, its one of the three looks I got going on today!
This is my 147 million orphans shirt that I got for Christmas a few years ago. If you live in Nashville or go to a private school, then you know what 147 million orphans is, but if you don't...
147 Million Orphans is an organization founded by a family friend of ours. They sell apparel and other merchandise and the money goes to feeding children in Uganda, China, Haiti, Honduras, and Ethiopia. For more information go visit their site!
So clever! Well, there you have it folks...3 outfits in one day. Me oh my!
