The Last 5 Weeks

We've hit spring break (early I know!) and I've just been reflecting on the last few weeks. The last five weeks to be precise. My friends have all decided we are writing a musical called the Last Five Weeks and its all about what has happened to us since. Madeline and I agreed that there hasn't been a single boring day this entire semester...we've just been doing fun things, fighting (hey it happens), and busy with shows. Anyways, I thought I'd share some pics from this semester. Props to Madeline for taking all of them haha.

This is our How I Met Your Mother group, which is basically our central group of friends. We celebrated Isaac's birthday in style with some surprise cake after a rehearsal.

Then we celebrated Valentine's day. Also known as SAD day. Most people think its single awareness day, but we called it Snuggle Awesome Day because we went to steak and shake for dinner and then snuggled and watched Enchanted at Isaac's house. Snuggle Awesome Day should be every day!

Then the day after Valentine's day, we celebrated MY birthday! This lovely lady organized our friends to go out to dinner at the greatest mexican restaurant around!

Then this week I performed with these lovely ladies in Women and Wallace. Actually, Samya my friend on the right was in a different show, but whatever. That is my lovely make out girl costume. Slutty right? ;)

Madeline and I are best friends. But seriously.

We've all been enjoying this fabulous weather lately by hanging outside practically all day!

Dillon tries to be epic. All the time. But that is why we are friends.

Madeline, Me, and Isaac all wore black one day. We thought it was a momentous occasion. So we celebrated. And laid in the grass for an entire day.

So that's just a small glimpse of all that's been going on. If only we had pictures from the late night Ihop trips, the nights that Madeline and I stay up being giggly roommates, and the rehearsals we've all been attending. But we don't. Oh well! Here's to another great few weeks and a happy spring break!

Study Study Study

I feel like I have neglected the blog completely because of finals week! I haven't completely abandoned the blog, but I feel like its been a while. Anyways, I thought I'd share some pictures I found of college kids studying back in the day. I love the picture above because I like to think its my friends (Ericka, Paige, Michelle, Maria, and Karsyn) in the 1950's. Its the perfect number of girls!

Ah finals! I'm actually done now praise the Lord!
This is literally Madeline and I in our room. Although we modern gals use computers...
This makes me really want to get a new ribbon for my typewriter! I have a gorgeous red royal typewriter that I got for my 16th birthday, but it needs a new ribbon. Someday...

Now that finals over I can enjoy my break, which will consist of this...knitting and listening to records. Sweet man.

All pics found here.

Finals Week Fashion

FINALS WEEK HAS ARRIVED. Honestly there is so much hype over finals, but I'm not really stressed out. I mean I definitely have things to study for and end of the year parties to go to, but I'm not freaking out like everyone else. But without further adieu...finals week fashion...

Outfit Details:
Shirt: Target
Sweater: Urban Outfitters
Jeans: New York and Co.
Shoes: Toms
I'm in love with this cardigan! It looks so 1950's to me! Plus I have a cardigan obsession!

I think this is the first time I've worn the Toms at college. Crazy right?! But I love my Toms! I had the red before anyone else did (I know, how hipster of me) but seriously. Before I got them, no one had them at school. Then the second I bought them people started walking the hallways sporting these ruby beauts. Whatever, I still love them!

Finals Week Begins!

Image Found Here.

Its finals week!!! I cannot believe how fast the semester has flown by! It seems like yesterday that I was buying books and stressing out over moving in. Time really does fly when you are having fun. My finals schedule isn't too bad, but I definitely have some things to study for and finish up. I have discovered that I have overbooked myself in the activities category! There are so many end of the year parties and get togethers that I'm having to pick and choose what I go to which is very difficult. Well, to all who are finishing up school, happy studying!

My Heart Is Happy

Sometimes I just have to say how much I adore my friends. I never dreamed that God would provide friends like these for me! I cherish every time we are together---I know I'm a cheeseball, but its true.

These are the best friends a girl could ever wish for! I love each and everyone of them immensely!

I also love that I'm not the only one who takes janky disposable camera pictures. Isn't Paige a great little photographer?!

We Got Annie!

This might be a super weird blog post, but whatever. The topic I'm bringing up today (wow that sounded so official) is nicknames. Mine for instance is Annie. Hey! You learn something new everyday! It all started in 3rd grade when my friends just put my name together and got Annie. And to them, I've been Annie ever since. I also went by Annie full time at camp which was sweet! But now I'm in college and I've realized how weird it is that no one calls me Annie any more. I mean, why would they? They don't know that I respond to that. But sometimes I miss being Annie. Being myself really.

Here's a few Annie songs to enjoy...
Side note, if you don't know the morning benders, you really should check them out. They are a sick band.
I'm a musical theatre major okay?! Give me a break!

What I've Been Up to Lately...

All I do these days is eat, sleep, breath, crochet. Oh yeah, and school. But mostly crochet. This friday there is going to be a craft fair at my school and Madeline and I are going to have a booth! She's going to sell her hair bows and I'm going to sell these! I've been working feverishly because I didn't really have enough to sell. They are a great deal at only $10 each!

I get TONS of compliments on my personal headband, so I'm hoping to do well at the craft fair. I also take special orders! Want a certain color? No problem! I will make exactly what you want! I love being crafty!

I Like Squirrels

When hacking someone's facebook it is customary to write something stupid like "I like to poop." I however make a million statuses saying "I like squirrels." I feel that this is so much funnier and generally more pleasant and weird. Tonight I actually hacked a friend's facebook and posted a million squirrel statuses. It was great.

But seriously, I like squirrels.

Success!

Who got up at 5 am to schedule classes this morning? This gal! And you know what, for my first scheduling on my own experience, it wasn't all that bad. I didn't get some of the classes I wanted, but I'm actually pleased with what I'm taking.

Here's what my next semester looks like:
Western Civ
Jazz 1
Voice and Movement
Art Appreciation
Math 109 (aka math for dummies)
Rehearsal/ Production 1
Private Voice Lessons

Its gonna be great! My friends are going to be thrilled at the amount of gen eds I'm taking. They always complain about how I never have homework. Oh the life of a theatre major...

With A Little Help From My Friends

I just have to take a moment to say that these are the greatest friends a gal could have. College was so worth meeting these girlies.

Doodle-de-do

My roommate, Madeline draws these adorable doodles of the two of us and our friends Dillon and Isaac. The above one is a vignette of me and all my quirks. I just think these are such great depictions of our adventures and personalities.

This one is from the night we all went camping. Dillon thought it would be fun to go to the pond and shout expecto patronum just like in Harry Potter. Needless to say, he was the most enthusiastic of the group.

This one is from the night we made butter beer and watched disney movies. Dillon and I were really stoked about making butter beer, but Madeline and Isaac were just two bumps on a log.

This is my personal fav. I mean, this is how we all met: in music theory class. And this doodle includes our teacher Professor Herman. Anyways, I just thought I would share her delightful cartoons!
