Sorry...

Sorry I haven't been so faithful this weekend. I've been too busy playing a Zebra in my show, Zink: The Myth, the Legend, the Zebra. 

What I Wore Today

This is my favorite red skirt! Probably because its my only red skirt, but who's counting? Today is the opening of my show, so I thought I'd dress for success!

This skirt is darling! When I found it at Forever 21 I was so surprised because it looks so funky and crafty.

I feel like this outfit is a little Emma Pillsbury-like. You know, the cute ocd guidance counselor from Glee. She always wears the cutest clothes!

What I Wore Today

Rainy Days and Mondays always bring me down...not really, but I think about that lyric every time it rains. Today is one of those cold rainy days, so I thought I'd be comfy and cozy today. (Again, sorry for the bad quality of the pictures. Darn you macbook!)

This is what I like to call my Navajo sweater. I thought about wearing my moccasins, but rain and suede don't really mix. Also, I was afraid it would be taking the tribal theme a little too far. 

People ask me all the time if these are my real glasses or if I just wear them for fun. The truth is: These are my actual glasses that help me see. I've needed glasses for years, but my vision hasn't been terrible. I just can't read far away. So before I came to college I got glasses so that I could see where I was going and read signs. I'm in love with my glasses because I've always wanted cat eye glasses every since I was a little girl. I had planned on having vintage cat eyes, but when I went to the eye doctor they told me, it was too risky to put new lenses in old frames. But then I found these beauties! Way to go Rayban! Points for having a modern day tortoise shell cat eye frame! 

Here's a close up on my trusty boots! I've had these since sophomore year of high school and I will continue to wear them until they fall apart. 

A Few Of My Favorite Things

So, I'm thinking this might be a weekly feature on the ole blog. Every week I'll share a few of my favorite things, or rather things I'm currently loving.

First up, new Coldplay. I know everyone has already listened to this album already, but seriously its incredible. I feel like this one is more alternative (maybe even a little electro) kinda in the same vein as Sigur Ros or Arcade Fire.

Damien from the Glee Project was on Glee last night. Yes, dear readers, I am a gleek. I could not be any happier that my little irish cutie made on the show!

I'm so in love with fall right now its not even funny. Every where I go I see the beautiful fall leaves either in a tree or on the ground. Fall is magic.

Polaroids are awesome! I just bought an instax wide and have been reliving the polaroid experience. I'm trying to use my film sparingly until Christmas when I can hopefully get more from Santa. But I am obsessed with my camera nonetheless. 

I really want some swedish clogs like these! I don't know why, but lately I've been obsessing over them. I just think they'd be great all year round shoes. Ya know, great for summer but also adorable with tights in the winter. I'd fancy a pair in red.

What I Wore Today

The weather is unbelievable today! It is around 70 degrees out and the sun is shining! Since the weather is so nice, I thought it called for one of my spring/summer dresses with a sweater. Perfect combo.

I've had this dress forever, but it never goes out of style because its got a vintage feel to it. The actual cut of the dress is kinda reminiscent of the 1940's. I call this sweater my pumpkin sweater. It's not exactly orange, but its not exactly brown. I don't know, it sort of reminds me of a pumpkin spice latte.

Happy No-Shave November Ya'll

It's that time of year again friends. Yes, I'm talking about No-Shave November! I love a good beard, so this is the one time of year when there will be lots of attractive bearded guys walking around campus. 

And now an ode to my favorite beards (and guys behind them)...

First up, Michael Angelakos. He is the lead singer of Passion Pit and totally dreamy.

This post would not be complete without Seth Rogen. I mean come on, you saw this one coming right?!

I'm actually not a huge fan of the Avett Brothers, but they have nice beards. Plus I have a love for the banjo. Hmm, maybe I should reconsider my feelings toward them.

Speaking of banjos...I had to add this guy. He's one of the members of Mumford and Sons. I know its practically a sin that I can't remember his name, but hopefully the banjo gods will forgive me.

Even Rupert rocked a beard in Harry Potter 7 Part 2. I'd love to see him grow one in real life.

What I Wore Today

This morning the weather said it was currently 37 degrees but that it would get to around 70 degrees later. How do you dress for that?? So, I compromised and sprung for the cardigan+shorts+tights combo that is perfect for fickle weather. I love fall, but sometimes it is so tricky to dress for!

I am so proud of my fab flower headbands! I've been making them all semester and proudly wearing them around campus. Many of my friends want some and now I'm even making them for some people back home. They aren't too hard, but they are difficult enough to make me want to keep making them. Every time I wear one, I get a compliment. They make quite the statement I guess. Goodness, I love Crochet!
